YMCA Healthy Kids® Day 2009

YMCA Healthy Kids® Day 2009—the nation’s largest health day for children and families! Brought to you by that critical health and wellness resource, your YMCA. We hope this year will be among the biggest and most successful Healthy Kids Days in our history. Healthy Kids Day brings to together all segments of YMCA work, health and well-being, holistic development of kids and family strengthening. It is a signature event within Activate America®, as YMCAs work to further assist kids, adults and families who want to lead a healthy lifestyle, but struggle to do so. YMCA Healthy Kids Day is critical on a national and local level for demonstrating the YMCA’s commitment to community health, beyond our doors. Our nation’s lifestyle health crisis demands that YMCAs reach more people and better support members and non-members in improving their health. YMCA Healthy Kids Day is a perfect chance to do just that, and it provides a special opportunity to share the Y values and the Y difference with a larger audience. This year’s event will be held on April 12. Last year the partners in Healthy Kids Day in our community were, the Boone County Family YMCA, Lebanon Parks Department, Boone County Health Department, D.A.R.E., Healthy Families, StageStars, and Tobacco Free Boone County.
